Band press kit checklist
A good press kit isn’t “everything your band has ever done.” It’s a curated set of signals that makes it easy to book you, cover you, or playlist you.
The essentials (start here)
- Band name + location
- Short bio (quick context)
- Best 2–3 songs (links or embeds)
- 3–10 press photos (clean, current)
- Contact CTA (bookings/press)
Nice-to-haves (when you have them)
- Press quotes (even one strong line)
- Tour dates (upcoming)
- Long bio (story + context)
- Social / official links (sameAs)
How to order it
Put what you want them to do first. For booking: hook → best tracks → dates → photos → contact. For press: hook → bio → quote → tracks → photos → contact.
On PunkAddicts you can drag-and-drop section order in the editor.
Common mistakes
- Too much text without headings
- No clear contact (or multiple CTAs)
- Outdated photos or random filenames
- Weak first song (lead with your best)
