Band press kit checklist

A good press kit isn’t “everything your band has ever done.” It’s a curated set of signals that makes it easy to book you, cover you, or playlist you.

The essentials (start here)

  • Band name + location
  • Short bio (quick context)
  • Best 2–3 songs (links or embeds)
  • 3–10 press photos (clean, current)
  • Contact CTA (bookings/press)

Nice-to-haves (when you have them)

  • Press quotes (even one strong line)
  • Tour dates (upcoming)
  • Long bio (story + context)
  • Social / official links (sameAs)

How to order it

Put what you want them to do first. For booking: hook → best tracks → dates → photos → contact. For press: hook → bio → quote → tracks → photos → contact.

On PunkAddicts you can drag-and-drop section order in the editor.

Common mistakes

  • Too much text without headings
  • No clear contact (or multiple CTAs)
  • Outdated photos or random filenames
  • Weak first song (lead with your best)
